This morning, many friends of mine went back to Hood Theological Seminary to continue their MDiv studies. It feels kind of weird that after three years of being in school full-time that I am not on that campus with them today. I think what I miss most is the interactions with fellow students and the faculty, an interaction that I don’t think you would get on any other campus. Do I miss the test?- No, but I do miss the learning … but in all reality that will never stop.
Even though I may not be in class today, I am using what I learned in class to begin writing my provisional papers for the Board of Ordained Ministry. Basically, I may be finished with Hood, but I am not finished with learning and writing about my understanding of God through Wesleyan Theology – a God of Grace.
Today, I pray that my friends at Hood have a great semester, and have a great appreciation for what they are learning and how to apply that in the ministry setting. I also pray that they do not rush their education, do not try and make it fly by, enjoy being with one another in that great setting. See you all soon!
